Interview with Psychic Dougall Fraser

Dougall, you describe yourself as a clairvoyant. Can you explain the difference between a psychic and a clairvoyant?

I am a psychic by trade, but my specialty is being a clairvoyant or visual psychic. When I am in a clear space, I see images and colors around people. I will have flashes of a name, or a movie or location in my mind's eye, and I try to figure out how those images connect to the person I am reading for. It's kind of like cosmic charades.

For example, the other day with a client I kept seeing an image of a stethoscope. I asked my client why this image was in my head. She said she had always wished she had gone to med school. These kinds of hits are how I confirm that I am connected to the person I am reading for.

It's not literal, I don't close my eyes and hear: "She wishes she went to med school." But there is in an energy that we all emit, and in this case I picked up on this instrument and what that meant to her past.

When did you know you had this gift?

First off, I never use the word "gift." I am not gifted or special in any way. Actually it is my belief that we are all psychic and intuitive. I happen to have had a lot of practice, so I am able to access it faster than the average person, but anyone can do that.

My parents have said that from an early age I would talk about hearing voices and seeing colors around people. I think my father thought I was crazy, but my mother nursed my ability by talking to me about it.

Speaking of color, are you talking about seeing the human aura?

Yes, when I am in tune I see the aura surrounding every living thing. Every color that I see will tell me about your strengths and your weaknesses. As I am speaking to someone, the color will change and move to direct me towards a specific message for any given individual. People always seem to be fascinated by the human aura. During my workshop at East West, I will teach every person in the room to see energy. It's a lot easier to do than people think!

How has your work changed in the past few years?

I have spent my life making predictions for people and playing the role of counselor. Often times I think there is a misunderstanding of what a psychic can do. My new goal is to teach people how to change their lives using the power of color. We can meditate, dress or even decorate our homes with specific colors to change our mood and attract what we need into our lives. For decades, companies have been using color to influence us. Restaurants spend thousands of dollars researching which colors stimulate our appetites. Insurance companies charge more money per client based on the color of car you drive. If you purchase a red car, they think you are more likely to speed. Even when we are born we are labeled pink or blue! I have based my work on, first, identifying the color/energy around you – and then helping you understand how new colors can change your energy and perspective. This empowers people to learn to take charge of their lives and make their dreams come true.
